The Fusion Energy Division (FED) of the American Nuclear Society will give up to 6 travel assistantships to students who are presenting a paper at the TOFE. These assistantships are about $500 each. The FED preferentially selects graduate students since undergraduate students do not have an opportunity to focus on fusion energy or present technical papers at the topical meetings.
The prospective students should send the following information to Mr. Lee Cadwallader, ANS FED Secretary/Treasurer, at Lee.Cadwallader@inl.gov, before June 1, 2008:
- Full Name
- University attending full time
- Major field of study
- Title and tracking number of the student's accepted abstract at the TOFE (the student must be the lead author)
- ANS membership status at time of request (not a member / local student member / national member)
- Land mail address
- Phone the student can be reached at
- Fax number the student can be reached at
Students who cannot provide all of this requested information cannot be considered for assistance. The FED will notify students of the decision as soon as possible after June 1, and checks will be mailed by ANS Headquarters in a timely manner prior to the TOFE. |
